New York, Thursday

I made it to New York. Really bumpy landing into Laguardia, but I made it. And the lady next to me on the plane didn’t even mind me grabbing her hand.

*cough*

Had a couple of hours to myself, so I went shopping on Fifth Avenue. Squee! And it tried to snow a bit on me while I was out walking. Went to Grand Central Station and people watched for a bit. Total pinch-me moment!

Then I took a taxi to Books of Wonder where seven authors were reading and found a Q&A panel.

The authors were: Albert Borros, JT Dutton, Lisa Greenwald, Ellen Hopkins, Ann Haywood Leal, Sydney Salter, and Fran Cannon Slayton. I bought Crash Into Me (Borris) and When The Whistle Blows (Slayton). Good info from q&a. Will post more on that later.

Met up with SCBWI friends for dinner and laughs. In the morning we all take part in the intensives. I’m nervous, but in a good way. We’ll see how it goes.

Here are some pics from today. Another post tomorrow!
